Wondering what to expect? Dozens of large, glowing animal lanterns, 500,000 LED lights, and interactive exhibits adorn this internationally-renowned zoo during the entire month of December. This Instagrammable event also features live music, yummy snacks, and spots to catch up on your holiday shopping.

There’s nothing more special than a handcrafted gift, and it’s not too late to create some last-minute presents for your loved ones. Playa Bowls Potomac is excited to offer a unique “snack and paint” class, and now is the time to reserve your spot.

You’ll receive a free ornament with the purchase of any bowl, smoothie or juice. After that, you can let your creativity run wild—Playa Bowls will even supply all of the paint and decorations. Don’t forget to buy your tickets ahead of time, as this event frequently sells out.

It’s no surprise that Step Afrika!’s annual step show is considered the most vibrant holiday event in town. If you’re looking to experience a one-of-a-kind performance filled with lively beats, amazing routines, and so much more, this is the event for you.

Be sure to arrive at the Atlas Performing Arts Center a bit early. Step Afrika! is offering pre-show instrument-making workshops, photo ops, and even a dance party. You can even use your new music-maker to jam along with the performers during the show!

Cozy up with a blanket and grab some popcorn—it’s time for a movie! The Potomac Library is back with another afternoon of films, fun, and festivities. This time, though, you can expect to see a familiar face: the Grinch!

Gather up your loved ones and head to the library at 1:00 PM to join in on the fun. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a heartwarming tale that emphasizes the true meaning of the holiday season: community and kindness.
