Fall Fun in Montgomery County!

Fall is finally upon us! This is one of my favorite seasons. The leaves are slowly turning gorgeous colors of red and brown, the weather is crisp but not cold, and everything seems to smell like a pumpkin spice latte.

Montgomery County does fall like no one else. There are so many pumpkin patches, pick-your-own farms, and fall festivals to choose from! Here, I’ve compiled a quick list of my favorites.

Pumpkin Patches Galore

pumpkinsI love going out to the pumpkin patch, finding the very best pumpkin, and taking it home for fall decor. Usually, I’ll take home more than one. Some are for carving jack-o-lanterns, and the others are small ones perfect for adding some fall festivity to my home.

Choosing the right pumpkin patch can be hard when there are so many fantastic options in the area!

Homestead Farms

This pick-your-own farm in Poolesville has delicious apples and lovely pumpkins ripe for the picking! Everything is reasonably priced, and they have a hayride on weekends to transport visitors of all ages out into the pumpkin patch.

Pick wonderful Fuji, Cameo, Enterprise, SunCrisp, or Jonagold apples. Everything is fresh, ripe, and delicious.

They also have apple cider, beautiful flowers, fall squash, and decorative gourds.

Butler’s Orchard

Enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch, jump in the hay loft, zoom down the giant slides, visit barnyard animals, and explore the straw maze!

Plus, there’s beautiful fall scenery, music, and hand-dipped caramel apples to snack on.

Summer’s Farm

Summer’s Farm is so much more than a corn field. With over 45 attractions, including a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and Friday fireworks show, this pick-your-own farm has something for visitors of all ages!

They also host events like pig races and pet adoptions on the weekends. This is a must-attend events for fall lovers in Frederick!

Gaver Farm

Other activities include jumping on the giant pillow, petting and feeding farm animals, mini mazes, duck races, ball games, and playgrounds.
